Goda Žukauskaitė  - contemporary dancer, performer, maker based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Goda is graduated from Amsterdam Academy of the Arts, Modern Theatre Dance department (2018). She is a dancer / performer of a few dance companies: “Kalpanarts” (NL), “Schweigman&” (NL), “Bitter Sweet Dance” (NL). Goda is also working in collaboration with various independent artists and organisations around The Netherlands and Lithuania.

Goda was born in Lithuania. Since childhood, she has been practising dance and theatre. Goda was playing in Youth Dance Theatre “Aglija” for eight years (2002 - 2010) and then working as a dancer/actress in two professional theatres in Lithuania - Lithuanian Russian Drama Theatre and The State Small Theatre of Vilnius (2010 - 2014). Before leaving to Amsterdam, she was studying acting/contemporary dance in the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (2012 - 2014).

Goda is constantly taking workshops with world leading choreographers/dancers, creating her own performances and practises.

Goda’s dance practise is very much related to research on physical body transformation while doing an act of performing. She is using physical theatre methods, searching for connections with people and space around, constantly challenging herself, looking for different ways of moving / performing, and inviting for the dialog while bringing new perspectives and opening up the senses. Goda has a lot of experience in site specific and durational projects as well as on the stage productions. She is actively collaborating with other art disciplines.

Goda is questioning how much performance is present in the reality and how much reality is present in the performance.
